College Sex & Love: When your friends are getting married (and you're not!)

by Tara Young

I ended up spending the summer at a campground in Virginia, where I could seek God on a deep, intimate level, and He met me where I was at. The good news is, He didn't leave me there.

He brought me to a higher place and I came home with a purpose and fulfillment far beyond finding a man and getting married. I found out the only one who could fulfill me was God.

I'm not trying to knock marriage, in any way, or belittle the life choices of my friends. However, I realized there is much more to life than finding a job and getting married. We all exist for a reason. God is the one who knows this reason and when we seek him, he reveals both his purpose for us and our lives.

And, just for the record, God's purposes are always awesome. They are never dull or boring, but on the contrary, God's love knows no bounds and He desires to fulfill our every need. Open your heart up to Him, and you won't be disappointed.
