An Engineering Student's Life
>The best part about being a student in engineering is the amount of spirit this faculty has! Woo Hoo!!!!! But on the flip side, I won't be alone when saying the workload that comes with this territory.
>I decided on my major at the end of my senior year in high school, when I had a few acceptances to choose from. I prayed and asked God for help to show me the right decision. The following week I received a scholarship from the University of Alberta and so I moved out here three provinces over from Ontario.

Advice for Students:
>Well, let's just say that a good friend of mine used to say, "It's all about time management." Make sure your time is well spent.
>But also, to succeed in engineering you HAVE to have fun! If you don't you will go crazy! In other words GET A LIFE!
>Make sure you register early…I'm not kidding.
>There's tons of scholarships out there just waiting for you to apply to them. When you're tempted to write off the idea of applying, let the judges of the applications do the judging instead of disqualifying yourself. Half the time scholarships go un-given away because no one has applied for them!

University: More Than an Education:
>Well, thus far the workload hasn't been the easiest to adjust to coming into university. Let's just say that we're not in Kansas anymore Toto.
>I love how there are so many people that you can connect with in university. There is no way that you won't find anyone without the same interests. It took me three days to find someone that I fit with pretty darned good.
>I've totally become more reliant on God and boy is that a relief in life. I can just let go of all the little things that bug me in life and let God have them.
>I've learned that I am here for more than just an education. I have been sent here to help out as best I can with changing that campus for the better.

When No One's Watching...
>When nobody's watching, I'm one of those guys that loves to mellow out to music and hang with some friends……when I'm not finishing an assignment that is, or even when I should be finishing an assignment.
>What does it mean to "just be yourself"? Exactly what it says, be yourself. Don't dress some way 'cause other people do.' Dress the way you dress 'cause you like it. When I learned that I could be outgoing and just be myself, I came to the point where I didn't care if others laughed at me, because I was having a BLAST!!!!!
>Oh if only I knew exactly what God wants for me in my life….but that would ruin the awesomeness the effect would have when I find out what it is. But I do know one thing and that is that I'm living my life for Jesus Christ. He is the one that makes life complete!
>I have a dream. Perhaps some day, I will be able to compete in an iron man triathalon or perhaps an eco-challenge. Right on!!
>The most difficult and physically challenging thing I've ever done would have to be either the adventure race that I did or the 50 km hike in -40 degree celcius weather. I love stuff like that: camping, running, cycling, rock climbing, hiking, adventure racing, windsurfing...
What does my room look like? Uhhh, dare we go here??? Let's just say that there is TONS of stuff on my walls.
>What you can find me doing in my spare time? Spare time? What is spare time? I seem to remember something that sounded like that once. Just kidding, but I do love to rock climb!
Other random facts? >My mom's brownies or her milfae concoction are worth dying for!!! Mmmmmmm!
