Success With a Purpose

My Spiritual Journey:

>At school, we are sometimes bogged with homework, assignments, reports, etc.....leading to information overload. That is what I felt when I was in school....but I found that whenever I felt like throwing in the towel, and giving it all up, God gave me the strength to endure just a little bit more. Now that look back at those experiences, I realize that, that was just the training ground.

>I guess my dream at one point was to be a highly successful programmer with a highly successful company. Not that my dreams have changed significantly....I still would like to be all that...but I have learnt (sometimes the hard way)...that it is better to be an average person and have a strong relationship with God rather than be a highly successful person who doesn't give God any time.

>I realized one day that God can (and wants to) use me in the workplace....where people who think they are so intellectual that they don't need God.

Instead, I believe, that God wants me to positively impact people from these backgrounds as I can relate to them on their own terms...and show them God's love for us.

>Through my semesters at BCIT, I learned the most important lesson of all, that without Jesus Christ...I can do nothing. Whether it was in my dealings with fellow classmates or writing a simple test, I could not have done it without the grace of God.

>My future....at 22 you sometimes sit back and think....why can't it be like when I was 12? The dinner was made, the laundry was done....but I guess we have to come back to reality.

In my future, I see the opportunity to impact people in the workplace, the chance to use the talents the God has blessed me with (not that I have many... :>), and the chance to stand as a living testimony of God's amazing grace.
