Student Profile: Stuff about Celeste

s

my major   |  advice to students  |  who I am  |  spirituality

Choosing my area of study:

>I chose psychology and enjoyed it because it studies very interesting subject matter.

>Psychology is a lot of work (esp. the honours thesis. It was crazy.) You have to read a lot.

>If you do an honours thesis, pick a great supervisor.

University life and advice:

>Going into university, I broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years. That was really hard. And I hated writing papers and reading 'Dry Lips Oughta move to Kapuskasing' in my English class. Other than that, I loved university.

>University was a huge breath of fresh air. I loved meeting people and having a lot of freedom.

>Make friends in your classes (you may need to borrow their notes).

>If you don't like one of your profs, get out early.

>Take time to focus on the most important stuff. You are only in university for 4 years. When you get out, your education itself is not enough.

The kind of person that I am:

>When no one is watching, I'm a girl who likes to be alone, dance, and read books.

>I am usually completely myself only when I'm with my husband. It's in those times that "just being myself" I say all the dumb things I am thinking and tell corny jokes.

He's my hero. He is so kind to me everyday. He is the one person who knows everything about me. It amazed me, early in our relationship, that he would listen to all my deep, dark secrets, and accept me. He is the greatest!!

>My mom raised me. She is the most selfless person ever. I respect her so much. She did a lot to shape me. She's another hero I have.

>I sort of have a dream to run an orphanage or to be a great singer. I also want to help a lot of people know God.

>I enjoy reading, baking, volleyball, oldies music, and fresh, purple cherries.
